Seattle Thunderbirds (3-1, 6 points) – 4-3 @ TOR, 5-1 vs. Quebec, 7-1 @ Vancouver and 4-6 @ Hamilton
(Seattle Thunderbird William Garceau leads the BLH in points, with almost as many points as the entire Dallas Generals team)
The Good: So far, we can put the puck in the net. Currently averaging five goals per game good for 2nd best in the Brewers League Hockey. LW/RW William Garceau currently leads the league in points at 10, four goals and six assists. He actually had a goal in all four games, and at least one assist in all four games as well. He wears #88, his former GMs old football number. A tradition, here in Seattle.
The Bad: Despite having arguably the best goalie in the league in Artie Brewwwwwwwwwwwwwwton, Seattle’s one loss was to the Hamilton, a game in which the Tigers scored six goals. It’s really too early to buy into stats but I think defense might be or downfall. We have a great goalie and solid forwards, and a lot of offensive/two-way defenders, but as a whole we will give up our share of goals.
The Ugly: In the minors, the Vancouver Phantoms went a league worst 1-3. I don’t thin there is a ton of talent there anyways but from those who know me in the BLB, I take pride in the minors being respectable.
Next Week: vs. Toronto, vs. Buffalo, @ Quebec, @ Toronto – Too early to predict how good teams will be but we beat Toronto in a one goal game
